Notes:  Interlefts lost to Tradeline for the third time in the season, by the score of 16-8.  Interlefts shut down the fierce Tradeline offense in the first half of the ballgame and lead the game 3-1 going into the 5th inning.    However, in the top of the 5th, Tradeline stringed together hits and batted around to score 8 runs, to take a 9-3 lead.  Interlefts could not overcome the deficit.  Zeke led the offense for the Interlefts and drove in 3 runs in the game, driving in 33 runs in the season (which ties Interleft record set by Zeke himself in 1998).  Bryan also had a good game, hitting a 2-run homer and scoring 2 runs in the game.  Mitz went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles, marking a new record of 18 doubles in a season, and scored twice in the game for his 27th run in the season (which is also a new record for the Interlefts).   For the first time this season, Kevbud and Dennis failed to score runs.   Interlefts were able to send only 4 batters to the plate in 3 of the 7 innings played.  Dave T. hit into the final out for the Interlefts; he owes the team a couple of pitchers of beer but he did not appear at the post-game gathering at Waverly Oaks Athletic Club.  Jake made a cameo appearance at the Athletic Club.  JB made a fashon statement at the game with a new softball pants, and he did not rip it.

Interlefts have officially closed out on the 2000 season with the loss, with a very respectable 9-4 record.  However, there will be a consolation game against Allaire Parrotheads, scheduled for Wednesday, September 6th at Waltham High School.
